I’m a PhD candidate under Prof. Riaan den Haan and Prof. Marla Trindade. My research focuses on manipulating the lifespan of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to enhance heterologous protein expression for industrial applications. I’m also working to engineer S. cerevisiae to have antimicrobial properties that combat bacterial contamination during fermentation processes.
